In this project, we seek to apply basic Black-Scholes formula to stock data on Yahoo to price stock options. The final goal of pricing stock options is to explore arbitrage opportunities in the market when volatility is abnormally high. For volatility, we will try to model through both GARCH models and Heston's Stochastic Volatility models. The stock and option data will mainly be acquired using the pandas-datareader package.

This is the repository for udacity capstone project. The project intends to do a regression analysis of short-term stock movement (one-day price percentage change) on news articles. Considering the scope of this project and that no effective algorithm to search for company names in a news articles is available, this project focuses on four technology stocks (Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Microsoft). The financial news articles dataset is downloaded from the Kaggle data page "US Financial News Articles" (https://www.kaggle.com/jeet2016/us-financial-news-articles) and stock data is acquired using pandas datareader.
