Why was the spelling of "july" changed? about readlex HOT 4 CLOSED

It is spelled 𐑡𐑩𐑤𐑲 in the ReadLex if you take a look. The web site is a bit out of date and reflected an earlier approach of using the Oxford Advanced Learners' Dictionary as the reference - this has /dʒulaɪ/ as the pronunciation. I now follow the pronunciations in the Cambridge Dictionary of English Pronunciation.

The lexicon here has 𐑡𐑩𐑤𐑲 for "July" which is probably the most appropriate, but it also inconsistently gives 𐑡𐑵𐑤𐑲 for "Jul". This probably should be fixed.

As a random curiosity let me mention that according to the Century Dictionary it used to be 𐑡𐑵𐑤𐑦 with the accent on the first syllable as in Julia or Julian.

@mwgamera Im not sure what the word “jul” is, but I do think it’s incorrect in most cases to have a CVC word with a 𐑩. In most cases it would be a different vowel because “ago” is never stressed.
