Oh yes indeed sorry, that's a bug because of the retarded google news and their tracking links we're removing. I'll fix that.

Interesting, so it would be a simple listing, not a grid right? I could see that. Is there any CORs for the google calendar api? Is putting your calendar public a requirement?

awesome! I might take a stab at this over the weekend if I get time.

Still using the extension, loving it a lot 👍

Hey! Thanks! Help is always welcomed 😄

Just tried the HN feed and it works for me. What's your issue? https://news.ycombinator.com/rss

As for the calendar what would you envision for it? Dealing with dates il also always a pain, so it really depends on what you want to do

oops sorry i forgot to actually put the problem - the href's aren't being pulled through on the HN feed.

the calendar I guess could just be as simple as showing your schedule for the day, clicking an item would take you directly to that link in calendar.google.com - so wouldn't have to be a traditional calendar but maybe something like

  • event title
  • event date/time
  • event location
  • event hangout link
  • event notes

Nice, thanks - works great now :)

simple listing - correct. this is totally my preference though as i only ever use the agenda view in google calendar, so definitely open to hear your ideas?

in terms of CORs, I believe you would just need to set some permissions in the manifest.json and do a basic oauth if you didn't want to make your calendar public

No I also prefer this, I was afraid you were considering implementing a monthly view grid.

Okay, you can also create a service in our api that allows CORs that would prevent having to request more permissions in the manifest. I think we have two options: either force the calendar to be public, or allow for the user to pass his api key that would allow him to get his private calendars. All calls are made using https and we don't log anything, so it should be fine.

Haven't had time yet but still really want to do this at some point, think it would be so useful. Also Is there a roadmap for Bridge?

Cool, no not really, we just do things when we deem it would be nice to have them and have the time to do so. Because we did 0 marketing on this there is not so much of a user-base to support anyway
