[feature req] Brushless Camera Gimbal Mode? about tgy HOT 4 OPEN

Ahh, just discovered http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1858164

So it seems that (a) they can drive the motor as required, (b) there are only a few key parameters needed to be known about the esc, so a separate codebase is probably best, so there remains (c) - could the controller on the esc chat with an IMU and do some math at the same time.

Regardless of the answer, it's starting to look like this feature request is a bit off-topic for this project.

Nope. Ran out of time to spend on it. Over the last few months the cost of gimbal controller boards that have open source software available has dropped a lot so makes it a lot harder to justify spending much time on it. Would be cool if someone decided to take it up though.

It'd be cool to have but definitely not something I've got time for at the moment :)
