DMC: attempt to get a socket for an unattached DMCx about simh HOT 4 CLOSED

I believe that it shouldn't return a fundamental failure error to the OS, but it should behave as if the line merely happened to be currently down.

Things should behave like the ethernet does if it happens not to be attached.... The ethernet does indicate the link state to the OS, but this is not a simulator failure condition.

I'll pass this along to Rob Jarratt since he just wrote this code.

I have sent a fix to Mark for this and a related issue. DECnet will in fact see the line as down, the simulated device will do nothing, it won't process any commands or initiate any action while it is not ATTACHed.

Are you sure it is fixed. I sent the code to Mark but I don't think he checked it in because he was not happy with some other aspects of the code.
