Just to make sure I'm not missing anything obvious, you'll never need limit/where/order/joins here right? So the API would essentially be Selectable<TypedResult> selectExpressions(Iterable<Expression> expressions) without a possibility of modifying the statement afterwards.

@simolus3 I can't currently see any usage for joins, but maybe WHERE could end up being useful.
Although selecting an expression + a where is technically creating a subquery with the WHERE right? So unless it's trivial to add it might not be worth it

I don't think so, because columns from t1 are not in scope on the outer select without a FROM clause. So the WHERE couldn't really refer to anything either way. It would mean that the select returns either zero or one rows, but I can't come up with a scenario where that is useful.
