It would be good if you could create a repro on CodeSanbox for instance. In any case, from a quick looks it seems that you're expecting that refetching uses the cache, which is doesn't by default.
See the docs and notice the difference between the useCache option, which can occur in 2 places:
- when invoking the hook (it's true by default)
- when invoking the execute (refetch) function (it's false by default, because we assume that if you're refetching you probably want to skip the cache)
Does that clarify?
