Start sentences with a capital letter not working? about simple-keyboard HOT 8 CLOSED

can you tell exact steps for reproducing it? In which app and which text field doesnt it work?

I'm not know how this works, but when I end a sentence with a . the next letter is not automatically capitalized, I use the latest version and have tried many different devices

Current capitalization mode is retrieved in effect at the current cursor position in the text. We use capitalization based on the editorInfo. Google keyboard works the same way.

For instance: It will not work in google chrome search, but it will work in Google Messenger app.
This is not a bug. Please, try testing this mode in fields, where google keyboard's capitalization works, for example.
