🎓 Studied Software Engineering at Kingston University from September 2014
🎓 Worked as an Academic Mentor and later, as a Teaching Assistant at Kingston University
🎓 Graduated with a First Class Hons and was selected to give the Vote of Thanks at our graduation ceremony
💻 Kick-started my career at GenSight (2017 - 2019), mainly working on spreadsheet development and legacy web applications
💻 I joined the marketing team at leading charity, Marie Curie - developing skills that were more relevant to modern development
💻 Shortlisted in the Future Stars of Tech - Developer Category (2019)
💻 Continued to mentor friends who were aspiting Software Engineers, as well as providing feedback on their CVs
💻 In 2020, I decided to leave Marie Curie after being offered three jobs; accepted offer was pulled due to the pandemic
💻 I had a virtual farewell, and started interviewing virtually. Within a month, I was offered four more jobs
💻 I joined the marketing team at global cyersecurity company, Mimecast (NASDAQ); I was onboarded during the lockdown!
💻 Despite the tech stack being identical to that of Marie Curie's, I played a key role, taking on more complex projects
💻 Involved in suggesting ways to improve how we delivered as a team, writing job specs, CV reviewing & interviewing
💻 My work was recognised by the senior management within the Global Marketing department (Q2 Quarterly Rockstar)
💻 In July 2021, I secured a new role and met my colleagues from Mimecast in-person, at a park, for the first time at my leaving-do!
💻 I joined Investment Bank, Jefferies (NYSE:JEF) as a Full-Stack Developer in the treasury team (my first-ever full-stack role!)
💻 As well as learning new technologies, I am starting to take on other responsibilities such as mentoring and presenting
💻 Contributions to various charities, mainly Cancer Research UK and British Heart Foundation

angular-typescript

A project set up to understand the basics of Angular/TypeScript including components, services, directives, http client, observables, promises, event emitters and routing.

forum-web-app-2020

Written in C# (.NET), EF, MVC, SQL, Identity, SignalR amd JavaScript. I have demonstrated my problem-solving skills as well as my passion for writing clean code, publishing various Nuget packages.

opensource-2021

Developed various Nuget Packages for technologies I have worked with throughout my career - including EpiServer CMS for .NET Framework as well as Reusable Code for .NET Core.
