Currently redis will log to syslog. I will be adding options to add a custom log file in thr next release (which I am currently working on)

This feature has been added in commit f9558e5 and will be in the 1.1.0 release. I also added documentation about the appropriate settings for this.
New settings related to logs:
syslogenabled
logfile
syslogfacility
