On 2nd check, this is the same as in findbugs so not something different in spotbugs.
I'd still be interested in why running the jar does not consider this a warning/error, but the ant task does. Possible to suppress that one?

Exit code 2 means "Classes needed for analysis were missing."

@krisan6 could you share which FindBugs version you used? It seems that this feature is included from FindBugs 3.0.0. If you're using FindBugs 2, I can understand your situation.
