@benado This seems a problem with avconv..

This should not be happening but you could try to install it again by purging it using sudo apt-get purge libav-tools and installing it again using sudo apt-get install libav-tools.

This should help maybe. Let us know how it goes!

Can you tell me the output of the following command by running it in python interpreter:

import os
print os.name

btw what windows are you on?

I tested on my windows and the problem seems to come up when you are not running the script from python's directory. To fix it, just cd C:\python27 and then run python spotdl.py.
