Error on macOS Sierra when running spotdl. about spotify-downloader HOT 4 CLOSED

Its because you probably used:
git clone https://github.com/ritiek/spotify-downloader
instead of
git clone https://github.com/ritiek/Spotify-Downloader
git is case-insensitive

A temporary fix for now will be to clone the repo using the 2nd command or use mv spotify-downloader Spotify-Downloader

from spotify-downloader.

Nope I copy-pasted the clone link from Github. Tried it again, then even downloaded a .zip just to be sure but still encounter errors such as this one: (Please help me, I really want to set this up.)

@zacharisharris okay, i don't know what is the name of folder being generated when you git clone the repo (but i think its Spotify-Downloader-Master after looking at the screenshot)

you can try to rename it to Spotify-Downloader.
now try to run

cd Spotify-Downloader
sudo python setup.py install
spotdl

hopefully it should work now..

i can't test this out myself as i don't have mac
