Newly installed Spyder: Kernel doesn't start about spyder HOT 4 CLOSED

Hey @cl-ifg, thanks for reporting. I think this problem is caused by your antivirus, firewall or VPN. Please disable them (if you have any of them enabled) and try again.

The problem still persists with deactivated VPN, firewall, or antivirus.

However, I can get a working sypder if I use an older spyder version: With

``conda create -c conda-forge -n spyder-old-env spyder=5.4 numpy scipy pandas matplotlib sympy cython`

I can start spyder without issue in the spyder-old-env environment

Ok, thanks for letting us know @cl-ifg. Another idea that could help is restarting your computer to see if that frees the ports that are found to be taken.

But if that doesn't work, at least you're be able to use Spyder 5.4.3 for now.
