Hi @SudoPlz sorry for the delay. Are you still experiencing this issue?

from react-native-square-reader-sdk.

SudoPlz avatar SudoPlz commented on July 28, 2024

@StephenJosey looks like that's still an issue yes.

That's only on iOS and we're still experiencing this in reader sdk ios version 1.3.5

Thanks, I'll pass this along to the team and follow-up once I have more information from them.

Hi @SudoPlz , thanks for filing the bug! I am starting to work on this issue. Could you please share any additional actions/information for reproducing this issue. Does it occur on start up of the application? Or is this when calling specific APIs. Do you not see this issue on Android with the same Reader SDK version?

from react-native-square-reader-sdk.

SudoPlz avatar SudoPlz commented on July 28, 2024

Hey @mohsin-sq , this happen only when the device doesn't have enough disk space, and the crash reports I've seen so far were taking place when the app launched.
Also I've only seen this on iOS and not on Android.

I hope that helps.

Hi @SudoPlz I was able to reproduce a crash upon not enough disk space but there isn't really a recoverable scenario for that as the application requires some disk space to be useable.

SudoPlz avatar SudoPlz commented on July 28, 2024

Well the problem is that it doesn't fail with an error but instead it crashes the app. Can you check if there's enough disk space and fail gracefully if the conditions aren't ideal?

mohsin-sq avatar mohsin-sq commented on July 28, 2024

That seems like a reasonable request. Since this is arising from the ReaderSDK, i'll pass the information along and see what they can do.

Thanks again for filing the issue, please feel free to reach out if you get any more information or it becomes a blocking issue.
