Hi @JonathanDowning, alas but I've not seen such behavior before. Have you tried to increase log verbosity at both ends? Also I think connecting loop can be break by setting connectionTimeout explicitly, thou it won't solve initial problem.

I agree that a connection timeout would be a good idea. It looks like OpenVPN Connect uses 30 seconds as a default.
Good idea about the log verbosity. How does one do that with the OpenVPNConfiguration? Would setting info to YES suffice?

I guess it wouldn't. You can provide verb param to the settings dictionary:
configuration.settings = ["verb": "9"]from openvpnadapter.
