The first thing I noticed is the lack of tags wrapping the certificate (<ca>...</ca> or <cert>...</cert>). This can be a cause of parsing error. Have you tried to use this ovpn file in OpenVPN Connect app?

This config file has tags.
So it couldn't be reasons of problem.

I see, GitHub doesn't show tags without escaping. Anyway due to some reason the library can't parse ovpn file correctly. I suggest you to try OpenVPN Connect to check this file. OpenVPNAdapter is just a wrapper over the original openvpn3 which is used in that app.

Also you can try to regenerate ovpn file, probably there are some special symbols that can't be parsed. And if it not helped you can manually populate settings dictionary as workaround.
