No problems with the code !
The problem was that icloud required to accept new "terms of service". This can be done by logging to icloud.com web site. After this everything works again.

Phew - lucky me :D
Yeah, when using Advanced Data Protection, you will need to at least enable icloud.com support (because I am using those APIs, I hope there is no additional logic that I need to implement for those accounts)
