Where is the assets folder? about assets HOT 2 CLOSED

The folders for your assets are specified with the 'css_dir' and 'js_dir' configure options. They both are relative to the web root of your web server. For package assets the folders are packages/[package_vendor]/[package_name]/[css_dir]/ and packages/[package_vendor]/[package_name]/[js_dir]/, again both are relative to the web root.

If you use pipeline then [public_dir] config option must point to the absolute path of your web root forder also usually called public directory. For Apache the web root folder is the one in the DocumentRoot directive. For Nginx the directive name is root.

To see it with an example, lets assume your web root is /var/www/mysite.com/public and you leave the default 'css_dir' and 'js_dir' configure options, that is 'css' and 'js' respectively, then you have to create the folders /var/www/mysite.com/public/css and /var/www/mysite.com/public/js and copy your assets there.
