Here are the other add ons that attempt to hide/show billing address fields at checkout, usually in JS:

Potentially, we need updates to all of the above plugins to at least check the settings for free/gateway address requirements... or we could use this opportunity to do this address field toggle (for some of them it's also payment fields though) 1 way in core.

New plan is to make sure every paid gateway, including offsite gateways, have an option to show the billing address fields. If you want to collect billing address on free levels, we will still suggest this plugin. Might rename it to Home Address in those cases or something.

We still will want some of the JavaScript functionality to hide/show addresses for cases where your free gateway is set up to not require address but say the Stripe gateway is. In that case, we want to hide the address if a discount code reduces the price to free... or show the address fields if a plugin (e.g. donations or variable pricing) causes the price to increase > 0.
