Hey, looks like it is a connectivity issue as it says the network is unreachable. Just as a heads up, my computer(Windows 10) is connected to a WiFi network. I have just given an ethernet connection to the board. The board JIB LED beside the ethernet port is on, however, I am pretty sure I am not being able to provide the board with an internet connection.

I have been able to figure out the issue, and have successfully installed the RFSoC studio. Thank you so much for your help, David. Appreciate it.

Happy to help and get you up and running with the RFSoC studio. I have a few questions that will help me debug your issue further, and resolve any problems in the future.

Can I ask the following:

• What RFSoC development board are you using?
• What version of PYNQ are you using?
• When you attempted to install the RFSoC studio, did you use a fresh install of PYNQ?
• Did you attempt to install the RFSoC studio via a UART terminal, or did you install it using the Jupyter Lab terminal?
• Is your development board connected to the internet?
• I notice that the name of this issue is the command to install the RFSoC Studio. However, you use pip rather than pip3. Is pip the command you used when installing RFSoC Studio or did you use pip3?

Thanks for getting back to me and answering the questions! Would you be able to run the following command in the Jupyter Labs terminal for me.

ping -c 4 google.com

If successful, you should see something like this at the output:

I'm still not convinced that your board is connected to the internet. If it was, everything should have installed correctly on the RFSoC2x2. Are you able to send me the output of the above command to check that you are able to ping google successfully. If the ping lasts particularly long, you can press ctrl + c on your keyboard to cancel the operation.

If this does not work, then we can try something different 😃

Hey David,

Yes, I think there is some problem with the internet. I mean I have connected the ethernet into my laptop, but it doesn't seem to work.

This is what I get while trying to run the ping command.
Could you let me know how can I make sure that the board is actually connected to the internet?

Hey, could you very quickly repeat to ping 1.1.1.1? This will confirm whether it is a DNS or connectivity issue.

Hey, I will report to you on Monday. Unfortunately, the device is in my lab, hence I cant access it before Monday.
Now that we know it is an internet connectivity issue, I'm hopeful that we will be able to fix this soon.
