@shadyrajab Thanks for reporting this issue. I reproduced this here. The root cause of this is an expected limitation in Streamlit. If the input value changes, the widget gets a new identity -> which resets its frontend state. In you case above, every change to the session value causes the input value to change in the next rerun. This behavior is currently expected, but I hope we can find a way to allow dynamically changing input values.
