It is a tough call on how to handle contractions.

It is possible they (dont, wont, cant, etc) were removed from one of the dictionaries. I suggest adding them to your project dictionary if you want to allow them.

cspell trace dont will show you which dictionaries contain the term.

possible option ...

provide a flag to ignore non A-Za-z0-9 characters when checking parts of a compound word if allowCompound is on. (which in my situation is almost always an identifier of some sort)
