Hi,
It looks like the Retrolambda plugin doesn't work with any libraries that compile with Java 8, which is why you're running into the problem. However, I believe that the Retrolambda plugin is meant to be a replacement for compiling your own project with Java 8. The gradle file you attached suggests that you're already doing that anyway. Do you have any need for the Retrolambda plugin anymore, or can you just remove that entirely?

Yep we successfully removed it from our app and the library is working!
