This is possible with the readOnly property. Visibility scoping has been discussed heavily before. And it is a major drawback of the explorer, as the request model schema, makes is too confusing to use for internal/external documentation.

Current request model schema

What should be exposed in the request model schema

The current solution is to create request specific model definitions, which is not nice.

A similar problem is discussed in strongloop/loopback#2924, where we want to omit id in the definition of create request body.
