Fix "Unknown language in `contributes.vscode-stylelint.language`. Provided value: postcss" notification about vscode-stylelint HOT 9 CLOSED

I know why this is happening, the extension is trying to load the postcss language but fails when you don't have the PostCSS Language Server https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=csstools.postcss

i installed the language server on my vscode instance and the error disappears. might be a quick fix for now.

Same here. I'm not using PostCSS at all, I'm using SASS instead. Stylelint seems to be working fine but I wonder what's causing this error.

For me this notification pops up every time I start VS Code.

How do we go about closing this issue? do we need to add an try/catch statement specifically for PostCSS to prevent throwing errors if the client doesnt want to install the PostCSS extension on vscode?

Well the extension should not load the PostCSS part if the LSP is not installed or ask if you want to install it.

I have the latest version of the extension installed (v0.84.0) and still get this error message each time VS Code starts up.
