Autofill Google Sign In on Firefox 57 doesn't work about tusk HOT 4 OPEN

Update: Windows 7/Firefox 57.0.4 it works (although you have to call Tusk twice to complete the two step autofilling; maybe it would be possible to implement something to autofill them in one pass; let me know if I should open a new feature issue)
At home macOS/Firefox 57.0.4 it doesn't. So I have to test it further why and in a test environment. I let you knowThanks for your support.

I can reproduce the issue on Firefox 57 - Tusk cannot autofill username, but if you type the username, it gets the password screen fine. Can you confirm this is what happens for you, or can it not get either?

I don't have access to a Windows machine. Is this bug still present?

Google changed their sign in page recently. Did it break it or fix it?

Yes, the problem is still persistent, both Windows 10 1703/Firefox 61.02 as well as macOS Sierra/Firefox 61.0.2.
With Windows currently neither works the offered function for a manual selection of input fields.
Ideally it should work like in other extensions as in Kee or MacPass. Chosen the username the following step of inserting the password should work automatically.
Currently this is for me a show stopper as I use Gmail only via Web without keeping cookies between sessions.
It seems a bit strange that since this bug can not be resolved, either the priority is very low or it's quite difficult to fix. I fear the former.
