Thanks for your suggestion, however, I believe that this is a very niche issue that would not affect out target audience, Professors in charge of students in SOC.
For example, in our first introductory module to computing, CS1101S, we were made to mark out recitation attendance with a telegram bot @CS1101SBot.
Additionally, many core modules such as CS2100, CS1231S require their students to join a mass telegram chat. I find it hard to believe that a student in SOC does not
have a telegram account. In the worst case scenario, the Professor, can just be a random string or something like @notelegramuser if such a scenario were to occur.
Thus, we believe that this is not a feature flaw.
