Well, sqrt solutions come in pairs, right? I mean whatever sqrt returns, the negative of the result is also a sqrt value. And that's what we see above, left is negative of the right. In other words, blst_fp2_sqrt simply returns the solution complementary to the expected one. But it's still correct result in sense that its square yields the original input.

Now I feel dumb, thank you for the quick response, you are totally right, that negating the harcoded value fixes the issue.
