Hi, I am switching keys ESC and Caps with
uncap 0x1b:0x14on my local machine (Windows 10), but in my remote desktop (Windows 10), when I press the physical Caps key, I get the behavior of ESC and Caps at the same time. Is there a workaround for this issue?

Hi, I try with registry key and also remap key doesn't work.
C:\Users\marco>reg query "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout" /v "Scancode Map"
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout

EDIT: with mstsc also with the registry key I can't use Caps-Lock like Esc

It seems that the problem is only with mstsc. From linux using xfreeRDP uncap works.
I haven't tried with xfreeRDP from windows yet.
EDIT: with xfreeRDP for Windows uncap works correctly!

Seems to be related to the connection setup.
If you choose Nel computer remoto (only on the remote computer) It works correctly
from uncap.
