Ok, I found out what's causing the issue. I have animations disabled on my Windows OS. If I enable animations, the menu works correctly, but it shouldn't be a requirement to have animations enabled to use the docs site.

Works fine for me both with mouse and with keyboard navigation, on Windows as well as on Mac and mobile. Looks like another incarnation of this mystical bug:

What would you like me to investigate? It just seems to me like the change detection is not triggered correctly and the submenu is never rendered.
EDIT: I can also reproduce the issue on Firefox and on Chrome in guest and incognito mode. So it's not related to any extensions.
