This is weird - I'd written a whole reply to this that I thought I'd already submitted. Doesn't seem to be showing up now, so guess not.

It's a little tricky to do "automatically" realize lazy sequences as you're suggesting - the way you realize them and when you realize them can vary and generally involves tradeoffs.

This is one of the unfortunate things about lazy sequences: you generally need to be aware of when you're using them and be careful about how+when they're realized.

This difficulty isn't specific to Timbre but logging in general, thread-local bindings, etc.
