Since this code is based on youtube-dl it's possible they have updated their code or their login is broken.

I'm running the latest version of youtube-dl, I was not able to log-in either, I'm having an issue similar to this one . It might be linked to TFA... I'm not sure. As a workaround I did what is suggested in the thread : use an extension to download my cookies as a cookies.txt file then moved it to the proper location on my system... so far so good, your script works like a charm !
I'm not too familiar with proper Python development, but if I can do anything to help debug, please ask :)

The login code has changed considerably. If you can port the current code over and make it work that would be helpful. Since I store cookies in my login() method and have a TFA callback argument, I cannot really call their code directly.
