i'm interested in getting this sorted. i've had to hardcode the pulse bin to use alsa as creating a new audio bin is not possible without some alterations to various other bits of code which specifically look for the pulse or audio test bins as being the only possible audio bins - i guess they should be changed to look for the has_audio and/or has_video fields instead?
if that is a sensible approach i'm happy to take that on in the next couple of weeks....
