I can make proot-distro
display information about rootfs size. The question is only in usefulness, because the provided information would be about initial state.
Effectively this means information would be false.
Distribution can grow in size indefinitely, no matter what its name. The more packages installed, the more disk space is being taken.
For example there is Alpine Linux distribution which initially takes about 10 megabytes. Though user can follow some guides and install packages which would cause it to be 15 gigabytes.
In other words you should be always prepared that you'll need at least 8 GB free on the internal storage if you want to set up more than just bare command line with bash, coreutils and package manager.

I understand. I tested here and in fact they are between 10 and 200 megabytes
