At my company, we need this as well. Note, however, that you should not just hard-code "target/test-output", but instead allow specifying the path relative to whatever target directory is configured in eclipse project settings.

Background: at my company, our Maven target folder is not just "target", but "target/${project.groupId}/${project.artifactId}/${project.version}" (target being a symlink to a global directory instead of a per-project subdir). Eclipse will resolve this just fine and displays the correct resulting target path in the project.
