Suggestion for naming the files about bible-malayalam-sathyavedapusthakam-1910 HOT 3 CLOSED

I still think i makes sense to have a dot before the SFM if that's intended as the [Windows] file extension.

01GENSVP.SFM

I've seen various file extensions used, ".sfm", ".usfm", ".ptx" and even ".txt"
and all in either lowercase or uppercase.

However, and this is important, ....
In Windows, it also helps enormously to retain the underscore after the two leading digits.
Otherwise, books such as 2SA end up out of book order in the Windows directory order,
because it sorts the file names numerically first, and sees it as number 102.
Linux isn't that stupid.

Thus I would prefer the files to remain with an underscore for this reason.

The dot is already there in the example given above. As you've rightly pointing out this naming convention can cause issues in the Windows directory sorting. So let's keep the underscore after the book number.
