@Preachemeat seems not to be so easy to make a user friendly time input field.

Do you know of any examples?

The native input has a type=time attribute value but it requires you to always start witth a leading zero

A react component exist also but has the same limitation:

Another option is to use multiple input fields for hours and minutes. But having more input fields seems to make it more work to enter your data.

I agree , seperate inputs is not the solution.

3 or 4 digit numbers should be allowed (adding leading zero for 3-digit number) with or without delimiters. ( eg 1.15 = 01.15 = 115 different inputs same value)

I found this

Demo page still contains a bug when typing "1:" results in "1::" but I've already made a pull request with the bug fix.

Also doesn't allow dot as delimiter but should be easy to integrate.

Another thing that still needs to happen with this component is that it needs to be wrapped into a material design textbox.
