Sounds good! This was my first time opening an issue on github.
Just to close it off. here are the steps -
My os was Windows10

  1. Install the Visual C++ library from with specific dependencies mentioned in the second answer here - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/48541801/microsoft-visual-c-14-0-is-required-get-it-with-microsoft-visual-c-build-t
  2. Go to the directory where db.ini is present.
  3. Setup the station coordinates and height.
  4. Follow the steps from starting given here - http://msnoise.org/plugins/msnoise-tomo/doc/

here is a file containing the output of conda list -
list.txt

Please add

  • the output of "conda list"
  • the content of the PATH environment variable

And please check that non existing path exists

Hi Thomas,

The path was not existing.
Then I reinstalled the visual c++ library with dependencies mentioned here (second answer) - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/48541801/microsoft-visual-c-14-0-is-required-get-it-with-microsoft-visual-c-build-t

Then when i ran python setup.py install
It appears to work fine.

with the final message being this -

Then I ran python setup.py build

But when i ran msnoise -p tomo info
it displays this error
(base) C:\Users\akash\msnoise__testing\msnoise-tomo-master>msnoise p tomo info
image

and here is my conda list

Hi Thomas!

It worked! I just had to set the plugin, define the station coordinates and move to directory where db.ini was present.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hey, for future users, please :

list the different steps you had to do to build on windows

note: "conda list > list.txt" outputs the list to a file, easier to read/parse than your screenshots :-)
