I'd prefer not to handle this because it starts to make it really confusing as to what the inputs are - I don't like the way that many base R functions accept input in many different forms. It makes documentation hard, and usually it's best to be explicit about data transformations anyway. Does str_c(unlist(mylist))
not do what you need?
