I use Visual Studio 2022 Community for about 90% of what I do. I also use Visual Studio Code. Both of these are free.

The programming language is C# (C sharp) which is part of .NET. More specifically I use WPF (Widows Presentation Foundation) which is an older platform, but still very popular.

I started by watching a LOT of video tutorials. Tim Corey and AngelSix are two that I still have bookmarked. There used to be a lot of good stuff on learn.microsoft.com.

Stack Overflow is a great place to search for answers. Most of my apps have at least one comment pointing to a stack overflow answer.

For files to look at, you can clone one of my github repositories. But be warned, some of my code is awful. It usually works, but it's awful. Also keep in mind that I'm an old retired fart who probably doesn't know what he's talking about.😉
