@mithro Since we are moving to gst-switch now, is this still required?
from getting-started.
Until gst-switch has done a bunch of conferences I think we probably still need this. It gives us a way to run gst-switch and dvswitch in parallel.
It also allows the HDMI2USB to be used by grumpy old people who want to stick with dvswitch.
from getting-started.
Here's a ported to gst1.x version - https://github.com/aps-sids/gst-plugins-dvswitch
We want to support both gst 0.10 and 1.0 together.
from getting-started.
I think we decided to have two separate branches? One for gst0.10 and one for gst1.0
I can't find any discussion about that; but did find these,

Looks like there is a gst0.10 branch at https://github.com/timvideos/gst-plugins-dvswitch/tree/gst0.10
from getting-started.
The "wrapper" script at https://github.com/timvideos/dvsource-v4l2-other probably needs some love here too.
from getting-started.
dvsource-v4l2-other has also been ported to gst1.0 - https://github.com/aps-sids/dvsource-v4l2-other
from getting-started.
@aps-sids send pull request. Looks like you need to fix up the README.md too.
from getting-started.
@mithro What's left to be done here?
from getting-started.
I think this is done!
We didn't end up with any testing infrastructure and I'm unsure about the auto-reconnect but they should just be issues on the repositories now I think.
We now even have packages at https://launchpad.net/~timvideos/+archive/ubuntu/dvswitch and even heading into Debian thanks to @stefanor
from getting-started.
