Can you post the result of running gem list commander and gem environment on the destination machine? That will help to diagnose. It sounds like possibly the commander gem is not installed in the same environment (gemset or ruby version) that you are running the script from.

Ok - I suspect that the issue might be that RubyGems is not loaded in your script. You can either change the initial shebang line in your script to this:

#!/usr/bin/env ruby -rubygems

Or you can add require 'rubygems' before you require commander.

Let me know if that does the trick. It's only necessary for Ruby 1.8 I believe.

require 'rubygems' is already in before commander is required. I added the -rubygems to the initial shebang and it worked! Oddly enough, it kept working after I removed it, so I have no idea if that was even what actually fixed it.
