Pickling Error about ulg HOT 7 CLOSED

It is weird... Does the failure occur repeatedly even when you delete the ulg.data file?

Yes it does. Everytime I delete the ulg.data file I get the first error again, and after a reload I get the second error again. The second error is always an EOFError that occurs when the program tries to load the ulg.data file.

Sure, subsequent errors are inevitable results of damaged file... But I have to say I have never seen this even though I had some problems with dumping/pickling the data previously. So may I ask about your environment (OS? Python version?) so I can try to simulate it and perhaps rewrite the dump routine it better way.

Or if you have some clue what is wrong in the dump call please tell me...

I am running Python 2.7 on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS. The web server is an Apache2 with mod-python installed.
Apart from what I have already told you i have no clue what and where the problem is.

I still did not manage to solve the problem, however it doesn't matter to me anymore since i work together with Kurt Bauer, who opened an issue about a year ago about IOS XR support. I simply used his installation (no ACL support) and have now also managed to establish IOS XR support for our ASR9000s. If you are interested in that i could send you an email with the corresponding file (ulgciscoxr.py) attached.

I tried to reproduce the dump/pickle problem but I was unable to do so. But now when I am re-reading your description I think that it might be problem of mod_python. ULG has never been tested with it, it is pure CGI with no other interface. Though I have intention to port ULG on Flask in future, I haven't started yet.
