I have a somewhat related question: How can I easily reset the blink1 mk2 to its factory default settings?
from blink1.
I've not had a chance to move the mk2 firmware over into this repo. It's located here currently:
https://github.com/todbot/pic-usb-experiments/tree/master/blink1mk2
taa1, what factory settings are you referring to?

Hi Tod,
Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm still new to these devices and I'm not sure if I'm even asking the right thing. I think the answer to your question is, "all of them" but I'll put it another way....
It's my understanding from the docs and from the example shell scripts I've looked at that there are some settings that appear to get stored on the device itself and that they stay that way until overridden. As an example, I know that it's possible to program the device using blink1-tool with a pattern such that it will then be the (new) default pattern that's played when the device is plugged into charge-only USB ports.
In looking at blink1-pattern-fill.sh, there are -g, -m and --setpattline args on each line, which implies to me that the -g and -m args get saved when --setpattline is "executed", and that each --setpattline can have associated with it different -g and -m values (and maybe --led? --delay?).
To start with, suppose I wanted to reset a blink(1) to the as-shipped charge-only USB pattern. How would I do it?

That firmware link leads to a 'not found' page. I don't see that repo anywhere either. Will it be moved to this repo soon?

Apologies, I forgot that was a private repo since it contains some code I can't share.
The blink1mk2 firmware has been moved into the main blink1 repo here:
https://github.com/todbot/blink1/tree/master/hardware/firmware_mk2
Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to import the history.
taa1, please open a separate issue about the pattern stuff.
