echo $FOO not working about env-cmd HOT 3 CLOSED

The only solution I have as of now is to do something like so:

echo $(npx env-cmd -e production printenv FOO)

but as you can imagine if there are multiple variables I need, this command gets really long

Edit: here is what I ended up doing:

"scripts": {
    "infra": "env-cmd -e production --use-shell \"yarn infra:exec\"",
    "infra:exec": "aws cloudformation update-stack --stack-name $STACK_NAME --profile $AWS_PROFILE --template-body file://template.yaml"
}

yarn infra would then work as I'd like it to, but it requires a two step 'internal' call

I have published 10.1.0 that now includes support for expanding env vars in arguments using the -x flag and the format $var.
