I also ran into this issue with a different use case: When changing the SplitPane's split prop based on a user-initiated action, the defaultSize prop is updated with the user's last size for this orientation. Since resized is not reset in this case, SplitPane will still use the old size (for ex. the old width) for the new layout (where the old height would have been appropriate). This may even result in a pane larger than the viewport area.
