So you can't add a link to the prefs in the normal google menu?

I think that is hard for users to find the menu, but if it is the best way, I will try.

To be honest with you,
if they can't find your script's setting link in the normal Google menu on the right they should not even be using this script or any other greasemonkey script....

With Google and other scripts putting their settings links under that menu it makes perfect sense for your settings link to be in that list as well.
