I think this should already be fixed in the latest version. Good thing you reminded me I didn't release it here on github 😄

So I just launched Minecraft 1.12.2-forge1.12.2-14.23.5.2768 successfully. It could be an issue with that particular version you're using.
I can't find download Forge 14.23.3 anywhere. Could you please pastebin the json file you're using? Or provide a link to forge installer, so I can try it myself?

This Forge Version is very long on my Computer. I will look, if I can find the installer.
