I suspect many people use it for very short-term messages (say, using within a few seconds but not using it afterwards). Have you considered adding a short lifetime option (or even changing the default and forcing others to specify that they want it to last a month)? This should reduce the bill without too much impact

Though, I had a few cases when a paste was deleted about one day after saving it. It was pretty weird since it is stated to be saved for 30 days. Maybe it's a bug?

@FichteFoll it was really up to how quickly my previous storage solution "un-persisted", which happened to be pretty often :)

@Niggler seems i've already exhausted the new plan, so we'll probably end up dropping the time. it seems like someone has an automated java task hitting once a second with logs - lol
